Soul's Death
SOUL'S DEATH
(Kadu Ziehe/Otto Rivenlock)
Withered trees move by the wind,
Dry soil fills our land, whispering it's magic, hand to hand,
A smoke on horizon, a roar in the sky,
Thunder lights, and rain come to cleanse.
A gatling sound, train comes away,
Came by and let by sad faces,
As we struggle for freedom,
As we struggle to live another day.
Plague took our calves,
Plague took our breath,
Bandits in and out, ask o' Lord what we'll be,
Keep our heads up, and pray to be fine, and pray to be free.
We can't let it go,
Spirits rise, before my eyes,
They float to the sky, up to another air,
Leaving the world and all that is there, this is our soul's death.
Death make our history,
As we dice with the time, as we watch out the sky,
Waiting for a miracle, a magic wave to get out of the rough,
Living and writing our history, in the page of blood.
Oh Lord, take us all,
Oh please, leave us be,
We fought with the right to get out of the rake,
But weather just come to dry another lake.
Pouring rain down on our faces as we live in shame,
Burying our child in the grass,
Watching the crowes eating our skin,
And the death taking our kin.
We can't let it go,
Spirits rise, before my eyes,
They float to the sky, up to another air,
Leaving the world and all that is there, this is our soul's death.
Seeing death smoke covering the plains,
Run to live, run along, just run,
But you can't hide, you'll be earased,
Like a unknown soldier without a name.
Rain turns to hail, and the snow is no more,
Falling drops of despair and agony like never before,
The reaper raises his scythe, a thunderstruck and nothing more is left,
A fire takes our spirits, grabbing our inner flame, this is our soul's death.
We can't let it go,
Spirits rise, before my eyes,
They float to the sky, up to another air,
Leaving the world and all that is there, this is our soul's death.
